As a Regional Merchandiser for Karen Kane, I get to travel to different stores all over the West Coast. It’s exciting and there is always an adventure! This week I made the trip from Los Angeles to Fresno California. That’s right, I made my way through one of the biggest agricultural capitals of the country! Not sure that exclamation point was necessary, but nevertheless I have never made this drive and it was a nice change of pace.
While travelling there isn’t much time to take in the sites, which is kind of a bummer. So over the years I’ve gotten into the habit of stretching the truth. It’s a bit shameful, but it makes me feel like I’ve soaked in all the area has to offer. Somehow driving past a lot of produce being grown, that is visible from the interstate, becomes me going apple picking. This week was no exception and I hit the jackpot for a white lie adventure story.
I drove by a sign for Sequoia Park! Sequoia is the name of our newest Karen Kane Fall Collection. Once I saw the sign, I pictured myself in the park and imagined what forest-like images gave Karen design inspiration. I had a seminar in Bloomingdales this week where several women tried on items from the Sequoia Collection (below). Can you see the inspiration compared to the beautiful “Sequoia tree” I spotted?
