Red Carpet Roxy in Karen Kane Top

In a recent post on Red Carpet Roxy, Roxy wore the Karen Kane Southhampton Contrast Top (3L25192) in her “Wine + Black & White” look. Paired with wine jeans and heels, the Karen Kane top looks great for a night out. Wear the same top with a pencil skirt, and you have a great look for the office.

Family Circle Magazine features Karen Kane Tribal Skirt for now and later

Family Circle Magazine opened their “Wardrobe Wonders” story with the Karen Kane Tribal Print Pencil Skirt. The story featured summer pieces that can be transitioned to a fall wardrobe with the right styling. We love both looks with this skirt: A crisp white peplum top with jewelry for summer, and  a sweater and moto jacket for fall. The story can be read online here.

Featured on the cover of “Women’s Wear Daily!”

When I got into work today, my heart must have jumped a beat or two when I saw the cover of today’s WWD! They featured our polka dot blouse and pencil skirt from our Holiday 2011 collection as part of a feature on the women’s better market. So exciting! Can’t wait until we get to show you the rest of our Holiday collection, but hope you enjoy this sneak peek until then!

Featured on Already Pretty!

When we designed our printed scoopneck dress for spring, citron wasn’t the accent color we originally had in mind for it. As part of our “By The Sea,” group, we imagined it with deep shades of blue inspired by – what else? – the sea. However, as soon as we saw this photo of Sally McGraw, the author of one of our favorite blogs (Already Pretty), we got so excited about the possibility of pairing it with tons of different color combinations we never thought about. Here, she does a fabulous job of contrasting the black & white in the dress with a deliciously electric shade of citron. We love this look – it’s so summery and the bright color is perfectly on-trend for the season. You can find the dress she’s wearing at Dillard’s here, or if you want to try a slight variation on it, you can also try pairing ultra-brights with our similarly black-and-white floral tank dress, available here at Belk.

Trendspotting: The Maxi Dress

Each week, we plan to highlight one key trend for the season. For our first installment of “Trendspotting,” I’ve decided to focus on one of the biggest for Spring/Summer 2011 – the ubiquitous maxi dress. Whether sequined, striped, or solid black, we’re offering a wide variety of maxis this season that are perfect for every occasion.  Read on to find out about some of our favorites!

Sleeveless Banded Maxi Dress (at Nordstrom)

Our sleeveless banded maxi (available at Nordstrom here and at Belk here) is simple, yet sophisticated, and so easy to wear. It’s machine washable, made in the USA, and such a great piece to pack for any upcoming summer travel plans you may have. By adding a fun coverlet, you can quickly turn this dress into the perfect evening outfit! At only $98, it’s a great steal for the season!

Long Tiered Lace Dress (at Bon Ton)

Our long tiered lace dress (available at Bon Ton here) features an empire waste that will flatter nearly every figure. Its pullover style makes getting dressed a snap and the lacy tiers add a beautiful feminine touch. The dress is made of a cotton/nylon blend and has a suggested retail price of $138.

Floral Medallion Maxi Dress (at Belk)

If you haven’t seen our flower medallion maxi yet, you’ve been missing out! This rayon/spandex dress features a fun painted floral pattern as well as side pockets. It’s the perfect item to wear to spring picnics or summer barbecues. With such a light, airy feeling, you’re going to swear it’s one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing you’ve ever owned. The dress is available now at Belk for just $98!

Reverse Seam Maxi Dress (at Bloomingdale's)

At first glance, our reverse seam maxi dress (available at Bloomingdale’s here and at Nordstrom here) may appear just like any other little black dress, but looks can be deceiving! This maxi has a reverse seam to give it an updated twist. With a rayon/spandex fabrication and easy pull-on design, it will soon become one of your wardrobe staples. For just $108, it’s a classic that every woman’s closet needs.

Stripe Maxi Dress (at Nordstrom)

The last dress we’re featuring today is far from the least! A personal favorite of mine, the stripe maxi dress (available here at Nordstrom and here at Bloomingdale’s) has classic black and white stripes that are simple, yet add a bit of glamour to the design. It can be easily paired with strappy flats or platforms to create a quick on-trend look. Made in the USA and machine-washable, this dress retails for $109.

Hope our maxi roundup provides some great inspirations for your summer shopping! No matter which one you pick, you can’t go wrong.
